40 years is a long long time....
If you haven't yet heard about LIB, you really need to get out there and talk to more riders, read more mags, watch more videos, or just ask the bike companies themselves.
We grew up in the business, and it shows...
For 30-plus years, our parent's bike shop was well known on Long Island as the place to go for anything you'd need in bicycle sales, service, parts and accessories. It was a family owned business that took pride in both its business and in it's community. We grew up in that store learning what retail was all about, what products people wanted, and how to best run a business that customers could rely on, and return to time and time again. And when the right time came, we knew just where we wanted to be...BMX.
For over 10 years now, we've been specializing in all things BMX...
So, Long Island Bike Shop was born...or as it's better known now...LIB.
BMX'ers soon found out that they could come to us to get anything they needed, and that we actually UNDERSTOOD what they wanted, and that we were willing to go the extra mile to help them with their custom needs....something most bike stores just don't want to get involved in.
Word spread, and it all just snowballed from there...Eight years ago our first web site was launched, www.libikes.com ....a half-pipe was built in the warehouse that everyone could ride on...then ramps and spines were built behind the store....then video shoots, video premier parties, major tour stops at LIB, magazine coverage, you name it, it's was all going on at LIB...so what could be next then?
LIBBMX.com is born...
Hell, why not? Almost every day we'd hear complaints about online dealers who don't care one bit about the customer they're selling to. Big corporate companies that take your money and then give you the runaround for weeks for your stuff. Dealers who don't ride, never will ride, and never will go to extremes for a customer just like LIB always has...and always will.
Finally, you have a choice...
It just had to happen...we're finally able to bring LIB right to your doorstep.
Whatever your BMX needs might be, we got, we can get it...or it just isn't made.
